Scope

This policy covers cookies and similar browser storage used by the SunloopMedia publication. It does not provide an inventory for separate Tools/Games applications or external destinations. Our Privacy Policy explains correspondence, website requests and infrastructure processing more broadly.

A cookie is a small item stored by a browser for a website. Cookies can support functions such as login or remembering a preference. Their presence and duration depend on the page and whether you are signed in; a cookie used for administration is not evidence of an ordinary reader account.

Ordinary reading

The accepted checks of ordinary publication pages did not observe a page-response cookie or an active marketing/advertising/analytics cookie integration. That is not a guarantee that the whole service is universally cookie-free. Hosting, CDN and security processing can occur independently of browser cookies. Public registration and reader comments are currently unavailable on SunloopMedia.

Login and authorized administration

Cookie or context Purpose Scope and duration
wordpress_test_cookie Checks whether the browser accepts cookies for WordPress login. Login context; a session cookie in the observed response. Browser session restoration can affect persistence.
wordpress_sec_* and wordpress_logged_in_* Support authenticated WordPress access and the login session. Authorized owner/administration, not public registration. Persistence depends on login choices such as Remember Me, WordPress settings and session revocation. We do not claim an exact measured deployed lifetime here.
wp-settings-* and wp-settings-time-* Can remember an authenticated user’s administration preferences. WordPress supports these admin-context cookies; they are not established as ordinary-reader cookies. Core can retain these preferences for about a year, subject to configuration.
Temporary owner-only review cookie Enables a short-lived, authenticated private review of existing Draft presentation. Up to 20 minutes, bound to the authorized session; Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict. Stop clears the review cookie and logout invalidates review access. It does not provide anonymous access to drafts.

The table distinguishes observed/deployed behavior from a capability of WordPress core. It does not disclose authentication values, session identifiers or a public preview token.

Optional services

SunloopMedia currently has no active marketing, advertising or optional browser-analytics integration. Newsletter signup and affiliate-tracking integrations are also disabled. There is no active consent-management platform or working consent-preference panel to describe at present. We will review this policy and the required controls before introducing a feature that changes storage or tracking.

Opening a social-sharing destination or another external link can involve that service’s cookies and policies. We do not represent those destinations as part of the publication’s cookie inventory.

Browser controls

Your browser settings can show, block or remove cookies. Blocking functional cookies may prevent login or other administration functions from working. Removing cookies does not necessarily remove infrastructure logs, email correspondence or provider recovery copies. See the Privacy Policy for those records and requests.

Questions can be sent to contact@sunloopmedia.com. We will revise this notice if relevant website behavior changes.
